Drivers Wanted

• 24 months of tractor trailer experience with one year OTR/Regional in the last three years
• Clean motor vehicle record (CDL endorsements for Tank and Doubles are desirable)
• Verifiable random DOT drug test results for last three years or evidence of participation in a drug testing consortium
• Felonies will be reviewed
• No DUIs or DWIs in the last five years

• Tractor must look good and DOT inspection must be within the last 30 days from your orientation date

Suggested equipment within 90 days:

• Long sliding 5th wheel – strongly suggested
• 6 – 4″ straps & 6 – 4″ portable ratchet-type winches
• 6 – 20′ chains & binders
• Light bar
• Pintle Hook, Ball Hitch and Electric Brakes

Complete and return the enclosed application.

Include the following with your application:

• Title copy or Application for Title
• Copy of current Form 2290 (Stamped paid by the IRS)
• Valid Annual DOT Inspection of equipment
• Long form physical

Once your application is approved, we will schedule a date for you to come and meet with us in Portage, Indiana with your equipment and attend orientation (1 day).

Bobtail Insurance: Required

• Certificate of Insurance must be provided if Independent Contractor has a current policy.
• Can be purchased through Powersource Transportation Inc. (Group policy) at the cost of $35.00 per month.*     Deductible = $2,500.00

Occupational/Accident: Required

• Certificate of Insurance must be provided if Independent Contractor has a current policy.
• Truck owners must provide a worker’s compensation certificate for employees.
• Independent Contractors can purchase through Powersource Transportation Inc. (Group Policy) at the cost of $160.00 per month.*

Cargo Liability Limiter

• Main “cargo policy” provided by Powersource Transportation Inc.
• This “Cargo Liability Limiter” policy covers the first $5000 of cargo damage with a $500 deductible to the owner/operator.
• This coverage is required to be carried through Powersource Transportation Inc. at the cost of $55.00 per month.*
• Independent Contractor may purchase own Cargo Liability Limiter as long as it covers the first $5,000 of cargo damage. Certificate of Insurance must be provided.
• In lieu of this plan you may choose to have a $5,000 bond.

Physical Damage: Available

• Coverage is available at group rates. Contact Powersource Transportation Inc. for a quote.*

Liability Insurance

• Coverage provided under Powersource Transportation Inc. Policy.

* Any money due for first month’s insurance costs will be deducted from the first settlement.

• $2,500.00 Escrow: Required

$75.00 will be deducted from your settlements until the full amount is in escrow. In the event the contract is terminated, escrow monies will be returned forty-five days after receipt of all property belonging to Powersource Transportation Inc. and provided all financial obligations to Powersource Transportation Inc. are met.

* Powersource Transportation, Inc.’s dispatch system requires you to have a cell phone. The cell phone must be active prior to orientation.

The orientation program at Powersource is an extensive welcome program designed for new contractors, aimed at introducing the company, as well as an in-depth training on what we do and how our business is run. Our one-day program covers a broad spectrum of topics our new hires need to know, including the company’s history, as well as the logistics behind a day with the company (accounting, sales, operations, and safety). When each program is concluded, new contractors are ready to make an impact in the power-only industry with Powersource!

Dispatch will be received from the Portage, Indiana office at the end of your orientation.
