Our May Featured Driver of the Month is Gary W.!

Gary always wanted to drive a truck as a kid. After teaching high school for 25 years, he retired and went to truck driving school. He was a company driver for a few years, then bought his own truck and started driving for Powersource.

He has been driving for Powersource for 5 years now and says it’s the best work experience he’s ever had! He drives a 2017 Freightliner equipped with a sliding 5th wheel and OD banners and flags. He also holds his tankers, doubles, and triples endorsements.

Gary’s favorite type of load is one that does not involve him unloading a trailer. He loves trucking because of the freedom to chose where he wants to go, the money is good, there is no forced dispatch, and of course his dispatcher, Patti!

He never leaves home without his cooking equipment because he loves to cook his own meals.

Gary is from Helenwood, TN. and has one daughter and one grandson, both who are his pride and joy!

When he is not on the road, he tries to visit with family as much as he can. He also looks forward to his annual trips to Portland where he fishes for salmon with his best friend.
