Our December Featured Driver of the Month is Jesse W.!
Unknowingly, Jesse became a truck driver at just 13 years old. He used to drive a truck with his dad hauling lumber and slabs. About 10 years later, he started hauling dump trucks on his own. By 1966, he was driving over the road.
Now, Jesse drives a 2002 Freightliner equipped with a chains/ratchets/straps/winches/binders, a longslide, headache rack, light bar, and OD flags and banners. He also holds his tankers endorsement!
Jesse has been with Powersource Transportation for three years and his favorite type of freight is dump trucks.
His favorite part about driving a truck for a living is that he gets to see different parts of the country. He never leaves home without Doc, his beautiful two-year old Red Border Collie. His ultimate goal in life is to be the person that his dogs thinks that he is.
Jesse lives in Denton, NC and has been married to his wife, Sherri, for 25 years. He has four children with his late wife.
When Jesse is not on the road, he likes to put his carpenter skills to use and work on projects around the house.
Thanks so much for all that you do, Jesse!
